Course Description: To recognize fine music and understand what makes it worth listening to by studying its theory, history and form. Last year, we discussed an introduction to musical theory as well as the biographies of some composers. This year we complete the study.
*This course, although building on Music Appreciation year I, does not require having taken either.

Quizzes: 40%
Participation: 20%
Tests: 40%
Texts: none, but access to the internet is needed. If this poses a problem for the student, please contact me as soon as possible. Assignments will be posted on the HFA music blog: hfamusica.blogspot.com
